Under the Anti-money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act 2009 (AML/CFT), WBS is required to verify your identity and address when you become an investor or borrower. Before we can accept your application you must complete our identification verification requirements. You can choose to verify your identity one of three ways:

I/We acknowledge that WBS is not obliged to agree to any request for early repayment of a Term Investment and in considering any request understand that WBS will consider:

The reason for the request;
Whether the event that gave rise to the request of early repayment is unforeseen and
Whether or not declining the request would create material hardship. ‘Hardship’ means a sudden and unforeseen event that requires you to urgently access the Term Investment to pay for necessary expenses.

I/We acknowledge that we will be required to give 30 days’ notice to withdraw a Term Investment early.

I/We acknowledge that, if WBS agree to early repayment of this Term Investment, an interest adjustment will apply as outlined in the Product Disclosure Statement.

Personal information gathered in this form will be held securely by WBS in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable provisions of the Privacy Act 2020 as amended or replaced by subsequent legislation. The information will be used to administer your investments or loan with us. Certain information will be released to Inland Revenue to comply with tax requirements.
