Warren Reiri has been with WBS since 1989.

Warren first joined WBS back in 1989. He had a busy shearing gang at the time and wanted somewhere safe to put his hard-earned money.

Back then, around five banks existed in Masterton. Warren remembers walking from one to the next, looking for somewhere to deposit a shearing cheque. But he couldn’t find the personal service he was after. That was, until he arrived at WBS.

‘I knew a woman at the counter at WBS and decided to call in,’ Warren said. ‘From the moment I walked in, I felt at home.’

Warren remembers WBS being different from the banks at the time.

‘I’d come in if I needed a smile and I’d always get one, on the way in and on the way out. It’s the same today. Even on the phone, the staff are there to help me. They always have time for me and I feel like they’d do anything to help.’
