The Golden Shears is the world’s premier shearing, wool handling and wool pressing competition. This year is particularly special for the event as it will also host the World Championships. Over 550 elite competitors from across the globe will battle it out in the ultimate display of speed, skill, and shear excellence.

Great family viewing

The Golden Shears is great family viewing, with atmosphere, action, and excitement all culminating in the finals, held on the Friday and Saturday nights.

This year’s event will also include a Golden Shears Fan Zone and Worlds Village, where the crowds can catch every Shears moment.

Highlights include:

• Giant outdoor screen with live competition streaming
• Vibrant public viewing zones and picnic friendly spaces
• Food trucks, market stalls, spinners, weavers & wool demos
• Schools programme and daily wool education experiences.
