Supporting families through loss

The WBS Charitable Trust is proud to support projects that make a meaningful difference in our community.

Funding from the WBS Charitable Trust is helping Hōkai Tahi provide free baby-loss care packs to Wairarapa whānau during times of loss.

One such project is led by Renee Renata and the team at Hōkai Tahi, who provide free baby-loss care packs for whānau experiencing miscarriage, stillbirth, infant loss, and other pregnancy losses.

Distributed through Wairarapa Hospital and by request, the packs include practical support items, keepsakes, memory-making resources, and information to help families through an incredibly difficult time.

Thanks to funding from the WBS Charitable Trust, more families across the Wairarapa can access these care packs free of charge, ensuring they receive support, comfort, and care when they need it most.

‘We are incredibly grateful to WBS for funding our baby loss care boxes. These boxes are such an important part of the support we are able to offer whānau experiencing miscarriage and baby-loss, providing practical care, comfort, memory-making resources and information at an incredibly difficult time,’ said Renee.

The WBS Charitable Trust is honoured to support initiatives like this that help strengthen the wellbeing of people across our region.
